The PromptBits Chrome Extension is developed and operated by Crafted Visionz Studio.

The PromptBits Chrome Extension allows users to:

  • copy prompts for use in AI tools and websites,
  • and access PromptBits from the browser side panel.

The extension is designed to improve productivity while maintaining a privacy-focused experience.

2. What the Extension Currently Does

The extension currently:

  • provides access to saved prompts,
  • allows prompt copying and organization,
  • maintains authentication state,
  • stores limited extension preferences,
  • and enables side-panel functionality.

The extension does NOT currently:

  • auto-insert prompts into websites,
  • monitor browsing behavior,
  • analyze website content,
  • track browsing history,
  • record keystrokes,
  • or collect active tab/page information.

3. Permissions Used

The extension currently uses the following Chrome permissions:

sidePanel

Used to display the PromptBits interface within the browser side panel.

storage

Used to store limited local preferences and extension-related state.

cookies

Used for authentication and maintaining secure user sessions.

4. Information We Collect

The extension may process or access limited information necessary for functionality, including:

  • authentication/session information,
  • account-related identifiers,
  • saved prompts associated with your account,
  • and basic extension state/preferences.

We do NOT collect:

  • browsing history,
  • website content,
  • page text,
  • form input,
  • passwords,
  • or keystroke data.

5. Website Interaction

The extension may operate alongside supported websites such as AI tools or productivity platforms.

However, the extension currently does not:

  • scrape website content,
  • monitor activity,
  • or transmit website data to PromptBits servers.

Users manually copy prompts for use where they choose.

6. Analytics & Error Monitoring

We may use limited analytics and error monitoring tools to improve extension reliability and performance.

This may include:

  • crash reports,
  • performance metrics,
  • and basic diagnostic information.

Current providers may include:

  • PostHog
  • Sentry

7. AI Providers

PromptBits may integrate with AI providers through the PromptBits platform, including:

  • OpenAI
  • Anthropic
  • Google

The extension itself does not independently train AI models or collect browsing data for AI training purposes.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information and extension functionality.

However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
